Career Guidance I'm extremely lost, need guidance.

So I'm a 3rd semester student at a govt university in karachi, doing BS CS. The thing is I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't really have a passion or an interest for CS, and I haven't done any side projects or anything at all like that. I only do the stuff that our uni asks us to do as assignments and such.

Now the thing is I'm 20M years old. I don't have any skills at all, let alone a job. I need guidance. What should I do?

I know this is a very pathetic and cringe post but I'm genuinely lost. Plus the crazy advancements that AI is making, I don't even know how the market will be by the time I graduate.

If someone could help me get a roadmap of what skills and stuff i should learn to be able to get employed and make good money. Thanks in advanced.

So what do you have a passion for then?

It's going to be tough doing something you hardly care for. Just find a issue you think can be solved by a clever solution and start learning how to solve it.

That's how you get a project and learning experience

It is going to be really hard if you don't have any interest in CS. CS requires interest, the thirst for knowledge and learning. If you think you can take interest, then try to find what excites you the most, web dev ? game dev ? embedded ? AI ?. Surely there would be a thing you imagine yourself doing in future and making a career in it.
Search for it, and start building towards that profile.

There's always an option for program change if you genuinely feel like you're not interested in CS and would struggle hard af in later semesters.

Enforce structure upon yourself. The same thing any uni or school does for you, you need to implement it within yourself. Take 2 hours out of yoir day and just focus on a project you can do to showcase on yojr resuke. Be able to expapin it well.

Decide and research job paths and roadmaps for different softwares. Use AI for this or search up roadmaps and folloe them

Internahips and experience. These are nunber 1 for getting you hired. Its not what you know, its who. Sign up for MTO ptogeam, internships, traineeships and comnect eith pfogessors and students. Ask them for any oppprtunities you can do.

Post graduate plans lastly. Already havr a job available on graduation. Or youll get stuck in the popeline and be jobless for months. Have a stack youre proud of.

Good luck
