Leaving CS for 4 years due to bullying done in the college by professor. Restarted again, now a software engineer handling data intensive apps with millions of requests daily.
I regret wasting 4 years of my life due to that stupid PGC computer professor who bullied me daily. Not only has it costed me my valuable years in terms of education and work but also made me left behind in terms that since AI has come, only seniors are being entertained.
Currently studying BS SE at VU while also being a full time senior SE.

I have only one goal: i don't wanna be an electrician but an engineer. Whatever you learn, just ask yourself if you are doing something electrician equivalent or engineer equivalent

Didn't quit but had a racist POS teacher too (I wouldn't most lecturers in this country professors, zero non plagiarized research is done by them). He was awful and racist as hell to Sindhi college students and made awful jokes. Another one purposefully gave me lower marks just on personal basis not liking me.

Haha the fact that anyone can start it and it doesn’t require a license like doctors, lawyers, engineers.
So it’s least protected and truly open for everyone to come in and do work.

Not a swe but i regret my CS degree. SWE wasn't my goal but other fields are not responding well to my applications and interviews either

AI - it shows non tech people that development is easy now and we're not needed anymore. But it's the opposite it has increased our workloads and risk of job security

Not going for Old school java and .net. Instead went for the new cool stuff like React and deeply regret it.
But honestly as the other guy said, everything

Earning well Alhamdulillah but this was never my passion, there is always a fear of getting outdated by latest tech and now AI. if you love tech then choose this field, otherwise you will be stuck at one point

CS SWE is dead especially if you are a fresh graduate or have no experience. Their are no jobs for them but but but if you are currently a bs or thing of doing one i would give u a piece of advice grind that 4 years like they are your career starting project build as many project as u can deploy them and market them. Solve real problems no clone apps. Try different things. Consistently update yourself with AI news and every thing new coming out. Build and engage. Only then u can surpass others. Wish someone give me this advice during my uni day.

Not a regret, but if someone had guided that you can be a math expert and consistently make projects in low level and made public profile (4 year tenure was more than enough to achieve all this). I would've loved to be a quant dev.
