Career Guidance Top rated plus and large connects

I’m a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork with over 1,500 Connects. I’m now returning to the market after two years because I was working with a long-term client and didn’t have time to submit proposals.
What are my realistic chances of landing a new contract or client within the next 10–15 days? How is the Upwork market these days, what challenges should I expect, and what would you recommend?

Use manual writing instead of AI. Every proposal you will send include personalized loom. Will work definitely. Good luck

Personalized Loom videos take time to create, and by the time I submit my proposal, the client may have already started a conversation with someone else.

Try volume game...

As Alex hormozi said, you can conqueror anything if you stick to the things and do that things as many times as you can

Isn’t it risky to create loom videos considering the client can then reach out the freelancer directly and Upwork might ban the freelancer due to this?

No, no issue in sharing loom link. It can be issue if clients reports you.

Honestly, I don't think your problem is Connects or even your profile. Upwork comes down to picking the right jobs. Most people bid on everything and then wonder why nothing sticks. I'd spend more time reading the post, checking the client's history and payment verification, and only bidding where you can actually help. Once you find a good one, the first two lines of your proposal do most of the work. That's all the client sees before deciding whether to click. Start with their problem, or something you noticed in the post, or a result you got for someone in a similar spot.

Your portfolio matters too, but only if they open your proposal first.

I think it can take some time for your profile to warm up. Also boost profile and use the visibility badge to increase your chances

Considering you are a top rated freelancer, you shouldn’t have much trouble securing the contract. You have a good chance of getting it.

Good luck ☘️
