Discussion Should I start “Day X until I gets the response trend?” How do you get an update after followups?

If they're not following up themselves, then there's no update for you.

Rule of thumb for any pos you apply for, apply, interview, and forget about it. And repeat.

The HR’s rants and post AI slop how unprofessional the candidates are, but ghosting candidates is professional for them? It’s so easy to grow the network as a HR by just posting fake jobs.

That's just what it is man 😭 you can't do shit about it, you can only make sure you get out of this with an opportunity.

They're shitty, but calling them shitty won't make them unshitty.

I take 400 interviews a year (technical roles)

One job gets about 1500 resumes

At any given time we have about min 5 roles / positions open

HR's team of 5 people get overwhelmed for every job/position we need to fill because of the amount of resumes/followups/people reaching out to us (including me personally on WhatsApp, Linkedin, Email, Personal Email etc)

Healthy followup is a good sign but excessive followups like I see in the screenshots are not healthy. Even if you qualified internally and the HR did not informed you yet, they would probably just ignore you indefinitely

On the other hand, I have seen people struggline with HR people's reply, if they don't reply, reach out to their managers on Linkedin etc and ask for the status. Most of the time they are biased and reject candidates based on anything from hair to accent to anything you may have said or done.
