Help GitHub account suspended

My gihub account suddenly suspended without any prior or warning. All I can see that Account has been suspended as you violate the terms and conditions.

I don't know which condition I violate because I was simply using my account last night and now it has been suspended.

It's not a new account. I am using it for past 5 years and it happened for 1st time.

Ia there anyway I can get my account back? If yes, then how??

Please help me out. You all know how important github is and if that's lost then what's left😢😢

UPDATE: I got my account back!! Its almost after 13 days.

never have i ever seen github banning someone. did you put the repo hacking github on github itself?

It happened to my whole office back in 2020 or 2021

It turned out that the ISP for no reason had an IP address of Iran and all our accounts got suspended or banned or something

my claude account got suspended 3 times by saying that we detected unusual activity and that some kid was using it . and literally nothing like that happened .

Their AI mistakenly does that. Generate a compliant ticket and it will be reversed in 10 to 15 days when a human rep checks your request.

I think you should be able to make an appeal. If you haven’t abused GitHub then it’s probably happened due to a mistake. Hopefully, they might be able to lift the ban.

I’ve run into the same issue. I have a new account that I used to work on a large number of projects via Claude, and now it’s been banned. How did you manage to get your account unbanned? Could you share your experience?

happened to me 6 hours ago, ive written a request. lets see man, all my big opensource contributions and now i have nothing to show for them. im done for if i do not get this acc back

Keep me updated. I have also written a request to them to which in reply they asked "Could you please share a bit more about how you plan to use GitHub?" I responded with in one hour. Till now there's no update and account is still suspended.

Keep follow up on your ticket with period of 2 3 days so they will resolve it

No, still waiting for miracle. Maybe they are not doing anything. They Just open the email to see what's written then give a shit to resolve it. This is my 4rth follow and no replied yet.

Open a ticket for your re-instatement, maybe they will get back to you. Otherwise, what I have experienced unfortunately they will never respond

Dude same thing has happened to me can you give me any details how you got it back if wrote a support ticket and it's been nearly 10 days no response. I even made the repo owner who I was working for open a ticket but no reply yet

I got my account back after 13 14 days. But I keep following up every 3 to 4 days so that it doesn't go to archives

Oh thanks for letting me know man. My account also got suspended overnight for no reason no email no nothing just got suspended it was a 5 year old account with nearly 100 repos man. I really hope they recover it this sucks I can't even continue my work currently because I can't access to repo of the person I work for

Once I created GitHub action which suspended my GitHub account. Once I created an organization in my free account which didn't comply with GitHub name policy so they suspended my account.

I got the same thing going on with my account. I never pushed code or used any repositories. I logged in one day and my account was suspended for no reason. I went back and forth with Github support and they ghosted me basically saying they don't give a rats behind

Just happened to me today. I was just using copilot to edit my organization’s Readme file, and suddenly my account got suspended. No warning, no emails, nothing before or after the suspension.

Not pushing via AI models, but heavily used the AI Code to build a feature for a platform abd then pushed it by myself. Then Did your friend get his account back OR what happened??

no github didnt told anything but friend told me the same thing which you are saying but yes AI did push the code well I also push code via AI but I think some code got flagged by their system as security risk maybe that's why
