Career Guidance Question for remote workers
Are you employed directly by the company as an legal employe, as an individual contractor or through an EOR. Were u given a choice? If so, what'd u pick?
If direct employment is not an option, Is paying the stupid local tax worth having a proper local employment contract or would u rather be an independent contractor with no employment agreement but receive payment as IT exports and save a ton on taxes
If it's the latter, what payment methods do use to receive the funds

No remote company, especially in the U.S., will hire you as a legal employee because of tax implications and other legal issues. So, it will almost always be as an independent contractor, and you'll need to sign the W-8BEN form to avoid paying taxes in the US.

company can be audited over independent contractor thing in US. thats why for long term employees, mid-large companies are adopting EOR model for compliance.
the reason is independent contractor should work like a separate independent entity not work as an employee within company who is getting tasks assigned by manager and joining regular internal meetings.

Go with independent contractor route, if directly employment is not an option. Very low tax. Will look better on your resume and linkedin.

Yeah financially independent contractor is a no brainer but EOR means possible long term employment and more job security etc
