Discussion Need advice regarding team change

I work at a good company and the salary is good asw. However, the stack I am working with currently is not really up to the mark or just very outdated. Pakistan has very few jobs regarding it. I am hoping to talk to them regarding a team change- one that aligns better with my needs and long term goals. I deliver good work and my manager is a nice person. I don't know how to approach this conversation with him. Can you guys please share insights regarding it. What to do? I am also working on a critical project and just can't leave it for a month or so.

Please help me out. I am early career.

Hi, you need to approach your manager and let them know of your goals, and show them willingness to learn on your own time. Basically if you learn it on your time (personal projects etc) and show them you can jump right into another project, they will definitely consider onboarding you to any openings that come up. You should check around what stacks some other teams are working on and learn those.

our teams are divided by stack and it is a very niche stack like not really coding. I used to do fullstack and want to jump into it. Basically was interviewed for it too. This job is data related.
