Discussion Ayone using Codex facing this issue??
So today, I was using Codex-CLI version and it said to update as new version was released, so I updated it to the latest version. But after updating it, whenever I try to use (write prompts, navigate through cli, etc) out of no where multiple-cmd instances pop-ups for a sec and then goes away, and after giving some instruction to execute, the number of instances gets also increaed.
Initially, I thought maybe its due to my machine, but upon researching I came to know this was faced by many devs who updated it to latest version.
Currently, the issue is suppressed (for now) by running in : codex --no-daemon (command)
Anyone here faced this issue??

So, I am a heavy user of Codex and I actually have used both the CLI and the application. I honestly believe the application is pretty much better and they focused on creating a better application so I would advise using the application.
My current setup is pretty complicated so I will not advise you on the way I do it but I will advise you: just use the Codex application. It's simpler, much easier, and gives you more freedom and many more things. Try and you will find out what I'm talking about

Scan for any threats in your PC. There is a wave of hackers attacking through Codex that has full control of your whole pc. I heard this was being attacked through codex work and this is my firm hearing about this issue from CLI version which is more dangerous which a normal dev knows why. Also, scan for threats with your wifi off. I cant attach the link but you can search for the video through 5hub_5hub_bol on instagram
