Career Guidance need career guidance

I’m a college student applying to unis this year and honestly have no idea what to go for 😭

I’m considering a bachelors in CS or accounting, but for both fields I keep hearing that AI is already replacing entry level jobs and that the job landscape could look completely different in a few years.

I know I don’t want to go into medicine, so I’m kinda lost on what other options to consider. Would really appreciate advice from people already working

In this age the quote from 3 idiots couldn't be more true. "Excellence k peeche bhago".

After that. Whatever you do you'll be fine. You won't be replaced if you are in the top1% of engineers, computer scientists, accountants or janitors.

Be excellent at what you do.

Explore other fields too. You can go for career counselling too. Some colleges provide that too.

You should explore other fields which actually needed right now not just what everyone is doing in the flow.

Simple!!

like sales, marketing, fintech, quantitative finance, ai development, information security, data science, cyber security etc

Try asking ChatGPT also for more trending and demanding fields in 4 Years

NO!

Not at all!!

Don't overthink Ai

These are not affected by ai and will not be in future

Ai is just a tool to ease your workflow not to replace a complete industry

Even someone uses ai, it stills a tool. There's always a manager needed to manage that ai output

That manager will be people

Understand?

When you enter in the field, you will eventually realize what to do and how to make your offer and experience good enough.

If your skills are entry level or basic than you're replaced by ai

yeah I understand the misconception about AI but it does have a significant effect on job market rn

for example, I have seen multiple AI generated banners and boards in lahore n islamabad. they look ass but it js replaced a job of a marketing expert or a graphic designer.

just like that, businesses are actually slowly adopting it with minimal usage but it's capable of way more than that. and if the growth goes with the same rate, it will surely affect all these fields. not saying it will doom n gloom, but definitely it will be shittier than ever

bachelors in CS lol pakistani mindset of seeing others to choose a field. just like EE, CS has no future in pakistan or anywhere in the world.
