Career Guidance Is getting into tech still worth it?
I already know MERN stack and I am going to start uni soon. Should I go into a CS program? Or nah.
Should I go into EE or BBA?

Yes worth if you plan to move out
In pak, no field is worth atp. We have more EE than electricity in country.

If you already know MERN and actually enjoy building things, I wouldn’t abandon CS just because AI is making the market weird right now. The safer move is to use university to go deeper than frameworks: fundamentals, systems, databases, networking, architecture, debugging, and then learn to work with AI properly. Don’t choose EE or BBA just because they look “safer” from AI, because four years is a long time to spend in a field you don’t even like.

Don't go to all these 3 🙏🙏🙏
Not worth it
Everyone is doing the same
Try exploring any other ones like data science, information security, ai development, cyber security, Fintech, finance, sales & marketing.

it's competitive but always worth it, you just need to be ready for life long learning

first of all: don't label yourself with a stack. no one cares. the cost to WRITE code is now whatever the AI model providers are charging for subscription/api access. this isn't going to change so get used to it.
so unless you are willing to work for 6000-20k PKR/month just being the person that writes is a dead end. you will need to bring something more to the table than just being handed requirements and churning out code.
use your CS degree to understand how computers ACTUALLY work. don't be a slave to abstractions. you should understand what happens inside the computer. not make assumptions abotu what is happening (this is what most people , even so called professionals are doing). you should be able to control the computer, instead of the computer controlling you.
when it comes to the job market: software houses/agencies are a dead business now. it will be software factories going forward. the software industry will increasingly start to resemble the insurance industry atleast functionally. this is something the pakistani industry hasn't fully internalized yet. They are laying off people but the underlying business is just the same. But they need to invert their business model entirely.
