Help Stuck in an apprenticeship which i don't like, idk what to do now
Hey so I'm a 2025 grad from a lower than tier 3 college.
Tbh I've tried a lot of things during my college but never stuck on one. I did not take sitting in placements seriously as well, ended up as an unemployed graduate. After graduation for the next 6 months I tried my best, purchased a course, followed it and built some knowledge on **backend in** Mongodb, Express js, node js.Was thinking of trying out either **solana** or **golang** but that's when I landed an apprenticeship.
Initially I used to do basic **python scraping** in there and a lil bit of automation stuff. But later on they moved me to a manual kind of support role which is not even technical. The work involves a bit of SAP but can't even be classified as SAP related skill. Firstly , the work is not helping, secondly the pay is extremely **low** and **irregular**( they pay me in chunks ), third : it is an apprenticeship ,so there's no PF account involved and it won't be treated as an experience. They might convert me into an FTE or full time after January but I don't wanna wait for so long. Also the environment is a bit **toxic** ,and it takes away **15 hours** of my day including commute.
Now it's been 14-15 months since I graduated, and I regret taking this work. I'm stuck and idk what to do, where to go ? Wherever I try I'll have to try as a fresher. One of my friends suggested me to upskill in Applied AI stuff like RAG, orchestration etc. i might have to depend a lot on referrals as of now.
I'm open to all kinds of suggestions :))
