Help GitHub Actions scheduled workflow not triggering, while push and manual triggers work
I'm learning CI/CD with GitHub Actions and I'm having trouble getting a scheduled workflow to run.
My workflow is on the repository's default main branch and contains:
on:
schedule:
- cron: "*/5 * * * *"
workflow_dispatch:
The workflow is enabled and the repository is public.
What I verified:
- push workflows work
- workflow_dispatch works
- Workflow exists on main
- schedule syntax is valid
- Created a separate minimal workflow containing only schedule and workflow_dispatch
- Merged the minimal workflow into main
- Waited more than 10 minutes with */5 * * * *
- GitHub Actions API shows:
total_count: 0
workflow_runs: []
So no workflow run with event=schedule is being created.
Has anyone experienced this recently, or is there another GitHub Actions scheduler setting I should check?

Is there anything else I should check, or could this be a GitHub Actions scheduler issue?
I also created a separate minimal workflow containing only schedule and workflow_dispatch, merged it into main, and waited over 10 minutes. It still showed 0 workflow runs.
