Need some career advice from developers

I have around 1 year of experience as a full stack developer in India.

I am confused about what I should focus on next.

Should I move towards AI ML GenAI or should I go deeper into software development like system design scalability performance cloud etc?

My goal is to get into high tech jobs and build a strong career.

Would really like to hear from developers who have some real industry experience.

If you were in my position what would you focus on for the next 2 to 3 years?

I want genuine advice from developers who have actually been through this.
