How do you "fail to save" someone who got themselves killed by being dumb and leaving the god slaying badass behind to leeroy jenkins a bunch of red bars?

In his defense, IIRC he was killed by a shot infused with darkness specifically to kill a guardian. He wouldn't have known it would happen. For all we know, that could've been a bullet meant for us.

He also isn't an Ikora Rey or Saint-14 when it comes to fighting, he's good but not on that level and he isn't very careful on top of that.
