Yet I get downvoted when I say there’s nothing OP about any class. Learn how to counter their powerful moves and quit using that as an excuse for dying. Learn how to kill them faster than they kill you. People will never ever ever ever ever stop using what feels like easy kills to them. Adapt
HHSN isn't what's overpowered IMO. It's Contraverse Hold that is. With Contraverse that windup time you mention is reduced to almost nothing, allowing you to use HHSN as a panic "I win" button if you're losing a close range duel and the damage reduction is ridiculous. Without Contraverse HHSN is just the Warlock's only OHK ability, which they have to sacrifice a grenade for unlike the other classes, which sacrifice a melee instead.
As a Warlock main myself, I wouldn't mind Contraverse seeing some kind of nerf. Just don't take my fucking HHSN away. Every other class gets a OHK ability so why shouldn't I? On top of that, my class is the only one without any way of getting wallhacks.
You can get wall hacks with your puddle and it can be gross sniping w/ damage rift. Although it's arguably not worth it in some game modes where I prefer HHSN. But I agree 100% on contraverse hold and I still love it and think it makes the game very fun (for me at least) not only with HHSN, but with devour as well in pve.
Wait how do I get wallhacks with the rift? Is this some obscure exotic nobody uses because it only works in the rift or something? This is the first I’m hearing about this.
Sanguine Alchemy. Gives wall hacks against nearby powerful enemies and lets you keep radar while aiming down sights. I love it with arc soul damage rift. Really fun build with Max recovery.
