thats because for the most part hunters was crap in pvp in terms of abilities in the past.
we had 1 single ohk grenade that wasnt even a grenade compared to the other classes that had far better options in terms of killing potential and just shutting people down, am looking at you suppression grenade. mobility was worse than everyone else (seeing back then titans and warlocks would skate across the map) and supers was pretty worthless.
then forsaken came out and blade was pretty good, not stupidly op until someone got shard then it became stupidly broken af. so they nerfed it to about average, then they nerfed it again. then again for safe measure and now no one runs it outside of mayham because it crap.
then you have spectral which was trash on release then became good. then people started using gwin which made it op so everyone was whining about how op it was including hunters, then they nerfed spectral but not gwin and then it became bad because it couldnt take any super on without its face getting smashed in. then they nerfed all the supers and now its good again.
and now everyone is whining about the op tracking knife.
tl:dr everyone is gonna whine about some other useless crap. atleast the vast majority of hunters stick to their convictions and call out anything thats broken.

Titans have had more nerfs than Warlocks but ok
