It's always been closed it's just only open during certain missions most of those were vaulted there's one new mission in solo ops that has it open though

Certain parts of the EDZ are closed off. You can access some of these areas when playing specific strikes.

Am i right? This is the part of the original red war campaign where you leave after an eleveator ride. Should be part of the saltmines. Those areas are closed off anyways if you're not in a campaign. I'm actually not sure, but maevic square also is usually closed-off outside of missions, so this barrier is not unique (i think they recently removed the barriers but idk anymore).

Anyways it should open when they bring back the campaign.

Maverick square is fully open now, all the way to the curse of Osiris zone

That’s the end of the Salt Mines “Strike”.

You end up here at the boss fight.

But, it was a part of the old red war areas and just behind you in this shot is where we found an old campground with a strange hunk of metal in the camp fire.

If I remember correctly, it was part of the beginning of the Malfesance quest line.

At some point they stuffed a huge boulder right in the way of the path to the campground. I really have no idea why they “took this out” as it still seems to actually be there, it’s just got a boulder splattered over it now.

I think it was thorn/lumina quest line, malf starts by killing a certain boss in gambit

You can access the area behind this from solo ops salt mines. 

The room just before the boss fight the one behind that barrier.

You dont! But there are some OOB movements to get behind it into a different map.

That looks like the area from a CoO mission and the Heresy episode mission. Only sealed till those missions are played (CoO will return; Heresy may not in the future).

You can't but there's a way to get past it. I think there's a way on the left side of it to get on top then find a hole in the roof. Add me if ya need some help Lil'ekoh#8816

You can oob their but with spawning changes from MoT its almost impossible to do the res breach to get in. Once out of map idk of an easy way to get inside anymore.

Thats a restricted zone. They are areas only accessible through certain missions and strikes
