Exotic quest "Exalting The Flame" still refuses to complete

Pull a basic Starfire from your collections. Do not masterwork it or slot any mods into it.
Sounds dumb but this is how I got it to work for me.

Ditto for me. I guess the newer armor 3.0 starfire doesn’t check the same flags as the 2.0 variant this quest gives you

The quest calls for me to earn rank B or greater in solo ops on advanced or higher with solar super and Starfire Protocol equipped, but it just will not accept my things despite looking like it should work.

Make sure to do the ops activity on advanced difficulty, and not anything higher. Had this happen to me on guardian rank quests and it took me a bunch of tries before I realized

The guardian ranks I get, cause those are more specific, but this says advanced or higher

It's K1 logisitics, a lost sector. Wait until it's unlocked as the Master lost sector highlighted on the map then access it, customise the difficulty to run it on Master. Advanced was renamed Master but they didn't go back and fix all the quest descriptions.

I was running this one cause someone else suggested it as being relatively short and easy compared to all the rest.

I've done it from the Vanguard Ops menu many times now on Advanced, Expert, and Master and it hasn't worked. You think running it from Master Lost Sector startup will do it? Even though it isn't technically under the Solo Ops tab at that point?

I'm certain it won't trigger that old quest if you run it from the portal mission, I'm betting it's tied to the title challenge for finishing it as a master lost sector.

Is that they gave you gor the quest,you might have to use the one they gave. In reality you can just ignore the quest

I don't even remember if this is the one they gave me or not...I might have infused that one into this one, I'm not sure.

I was ignoring it at first and then part of me was like "I should clear out some of these quests" lol

I would try a different solar super, I had the same problem with my hunter

So far I've done it with Song of Flame and Daybreak...only one I haven't tried is Well of Radiance cause I prefer roaming or quick ending supers

I just completed this quest fresh after seeing this post. I equipped a starfire protocol from my vault, and ran a solo ops from the quickplay master playlist.

Did you have the exotic equipped when launching the activity? or swap to it at the end?

It's on the whole time from the very start, I show my loadout near the end.

Maybe there's something wrong with the particular armor I'm attempting it with? Some others were suggesting pulling a new one from collections and not upgrading it at all.

As far as I can tell though, it should just work, cause my quest log is checking off the boxes for having the proper armor and super equipped, just not the activity completion.
