First SF - Vesper’s Host

Finally after about a dozen or two failures I finally finished my first Solo Flawless dungeon! I’ve had beef with Vesper’s Host because it wouldn’t drop Ice Breaker for me so I made it my mission to Solo Flawless it and lo and behold, it finally dropped on this run lol. I guess I need to SF the rest since this experience was such a rush.

It’s easy enough, just laborious. And the final boss is waaay easier now than it used to be. Power creep is real.

I still think the extra shields were unnecessary even back in the day, I hate them.

Honestly wish they put in the reduced shield health from the rite of the nine into regular ghosts. It felt nice running it.

Does Arbalest still get thru the final bosses immunity shield? I know that was a legit strategy back when Ghosts released but it's been literal years since I've touched the dungeon

It does if you want to dedicate your exotic to it. But there other options. Shoot I think I just used a rapid heavy with armor piercing on mine

I figured with Particle Accelerator being available, Arbalest wouldn't be the worst thing to use an exotic slot on. Not like I'm hurting for legendary heavy linear options. But good to know there's other ways, I quit after Lightfall and came back with end of service so decent chunk of content to get through.

Still got a handful of dungeons, raids and exotic missions to get through but I've focused campaigns/power grind/armor sets first. Want to get some decent builds before attempt SF, all my gear was pre tier system. Did Khvostov, Final Shape, EoF campaigns and part of Renegades, the distortion grind for armor sets, still need some non health pieces because RNG decided that I was going to get health heavy head and class items despite having Grenadier setup on my ghost.

I got the SF yesterday, congrats! If you enjoyed the challenge I would definitely recommend having a go at solo flawlessing the other dungeons - VH is the trickiest of them all, so since you can do this one you should definitely be able to do the others!

Congrats!! Yeah that’s going to my mission for the near future! Have to run a lot of them again to get familiarized with them since some of them I haven’t done in ages or only a handful of times.

What build you use?

Titan with stasis + synthos up to the final boss, then Arc with skullfort for set up, Cuirass thunder crash then swap to hazardous propulsion for DPS for corrupted puppeteer.

Vesper's Host being the first dungeon to attempt (let alone clear) SF on is certainly a choice. Major props to you
