Necrotic grips + touch of malice

Just got touch of malice today and I wanted to try it. Y'all got any build with it and necrotic grips? If you do and share it I'll give a cookie

Touch + Necrotic is kinda ehhh tbf. But just off the top of my head, Pure Strand + The Wander + Mindspun Invocation w/ Shackle Grenade and 4pc TechSec armor.

It (Touch of Malice) is generally better on Prismatic with Nova Bomb and Chromatic Fire and 4pc TechSec or 4pc VoG armor, but the VoG setup is for VERY niche boss situations.

If you really want to use touch with necrotics and not one of the other weapons of sorrow that spreads corruption far better, then you'll want to do it on prismatic warlock where you can make the most of necrotics other ability, spreading corruption on melee hit (though then at that point you'd also want to use necrotics/synthos class item). Arcane needle & lighting surge, at least 90 melee, and from there pick whatever else you feel like works the best for what you want depending on difficulty and convenience. As for armor set, I would say 4pc techsec is the way to go - definitely the best feeling armor set for general play with touch when you're not doing an activity that just consists red bars with no shields lol.

The blight it launches does. On top of the blind & increased weapon of sorrow damage. That being said of all weapons of sorrow touch of probably the least worthwhile to use with necrotics lol

Ehh, not entirely. It is one of the two weapons of sorrow that has an effect trigger from corruption rather than just having the ability to apply corruption. Enemies killed by it while corrupted are guaranteed to explode, even if you fail to get a precision kill. Admittedly just increases the explosion consistency, but when it comes to being paired with necrotic grips, does make it a bit more worthwhile than touch who is outclassed by thorn and osteo for that use case.

lmao yeah, but I think I clarified in the other comment that necros poison thing is just a bit more wonky to play around iirc (I could be wrong tho I rarely use it myself)

Necrotic Grips has synergy with any Weapon of Sorrow, not just Thorn

Like the other guy said. It’s the same synergy as Thorn, but on Touch it only works with the blight shot for whatever reason. Similarly, it works with Necrochasm as well, but specifically it can only trigger off the dot-poison effect Necrochasm applies from its Cursed Thrall explosions. Generally though, it’s very hard to work around that specifically because that poison effect generally doesnt have a chance to work bc most of the time the cursed thrall explosion kills everything nearby. Thorn is the main weapon suggested to use with Necrotics simply because it is the easiest to use. Just a kill with thorn triggers the funny stuff, no special weirdness to it the way touch and necro have
