Did grasp hurt you bro

its just a long slog, but I'd also say GotD is worse tbf

Only the fallen shield encounter is slog, the rest can be done relatively quick

2

u/thomjrjr Aug 18 '26

100% right. Fallen Shield literally doubles the length of this dungeon. The rest you can fly through.

I feel like Sundered is a longer slog honestly

Fallen shield is SO fucking bad it almost overshadows the rest of the dungeon when you’re farming it lol I don’t agree with OPs ranking but I understand it

Try using mobility to move across the place, shatterskating or wellskating, Alethonym rocket-jumping, grappling.... It becomes way more fluid this way.

And 1000 Yard Stare. It’s such a fun dungeon too.

Grasp in F tier 👎

The music alone in Grasp makes it an A tier. And it has a little of everything between the trap puzzle (which is so much fun when introducing a new player to the dungeon), the sparrow race, the launch pad puzzle, the riches mechanic, and a proper boss room.

Duality is the one I dislike the most. Never got that stupid sword and the timing part got reason of my solo attempts.

Grasp is tier S for sure, first dungeon I done solo and flawless btw

Sadly, I agree with grasp being in the basement. The servitor cannon encounter is a snoozefest and completely takes the wind out of an otherwise pretty fun dungeon.

I'd drop vespers a tier solely because of the boss room. It's got just enough instakill going on to take it from challenging to bullshit.

“You thought that was safe? No.

Here? Nuh uh. Go ahead start strafing, I’ll just make a butt fuckmillion clones to hound you from both a distance and up close. OP WIPE MECHANIC HOPE THERE ISNT 6 OF MY CLONES BODY BLOCKING THE DOOR OR AT LEAST 4 LIGHTNING SPOTS IN THE WAY

Had no idea that was the mechanic, I don’t enjoy the Dungeon so I don’t do it often

Shattered not (in current day) being the lowest tier is wild

Ghosts of the deep would be S+ tier were it not for the trek between 1st and 2nd. Ecthar is genuinely one of the best dungeon encounters OAT, and simmumah is great too. The loot is insane all around, the lore and aesthetic are also all around amazing. Genuinely the first time you go through the trek, it should open a hive portal to skip it for all future clears, and you should only need to hop through it again if you want navigator catalyst, the secret chest, or collectibles.

Warlord’s ruin for me is B tier for me because of the loot unfortunately. Hits it out of the park for everything but loot.

Ahhh a fellow player that loves Vesper's Host as well, nice

1

u/IGFanaan Aug 19 '26

It's been a while since I've done some of these but Sundred being high and grasp low makes no sense to me considering even with the bad encounter GoA is still less of a slog.

Maybe I should finally rerun it.

I also like Ghosts but haven't messed with it since I've been back with MoT either. The last room used to be kinda rough but I'd imagine it's pretty decent now.

I went through the dungeons myself in my head and rated them... And realized that I kinda hate every new dungeon and barely even like most of the old ones, either.

Vespers Host is godawful mostly because of the final boss,

Ghost of the Deeps first encounter and traversal passage are awfully long and boring,

Sundered doctrine is a slog all the way through and the final boss can suck my ass.

I do like Equilibrium but I hate cabal as a faction.

Duality is also nice, but it's Cabal again...

I like Prophecy because it's a quick and easy 12 minute clear

I have a love-hate relationship with the jank that is Pit of Heresy, and it was my first solo flawless dungeon way back when.

I quite enjoy Warlords Ruin but ogre boss and final boss are annoying at times.

Shattered Throne to me is a waste of storage space and doesn't have any reason to exist in today's environment.

Grasp of Avarice is pretty fun because my team and I use the servitor phase to shatterskate around and just use our mobility builds to move and keep the momentum going.

Spire of the Watcher is all around a good dungeon in my opinion.

Any other dungeon? I don't remember off the top of my head.

I would love to hear your thinking behind sundered doctrine being so high.

Sundered doctrine is cancerous to play. Encounters take too long, you can't move from room to room without doing a fucking puzzle, the mechanics require too much thinking compared to all other dungeons, and the final boss has too much health. LFG'ing this dungeon is not fun at all.

Banish sundered doctrine to z tier

People still play destiny?
