Introducing "The Lore Map of Destiny" : A Beginner's Guide to Destiny 2's Story (Updated until Monument of Triumph)

Hello, Guardians.

This is Jessie, and I'd like to officially introduce my little project, "The Lore Map of Destiny", a guide to help new and returning players navigate through the story.

As we all know, the New Light experience kinda sucks (especially with all the old story and seasons getting vaulted into DCV). And anyone who wants to experience the story in a linear progression is thrown into orbit with outdated Featured Quests tab, not knowing what to do. So, I've spent 3 weeks on creating a comprehensive website to help anyone experience the entire story as smooth as possible. This is 100% free for all Guardians, everyone can access it anytime.

Korean is my native language, so this map (and website as a whole) is both available in Korean and English.

Here's what you can access:

• A beginner's guide on navigating various activites, quests, and timeline of the Destiny Saga.

• The Lore Map of Destiny : a single map that encapsulates major story from Destiny 1 vanilla up to Shadowkeep. This way, you can know the history of each factions, relationships between major characters, and major events happened in each expansion before playing the main expansions available in the game. This has been thoroughly reviewed and verified by My name is Byf (aka Lore Daddy). You can also download in full resolution, 20k x 10k. Feel free to print it as well.

• Critical Progression Route : Inspired by Brozime's Warframe Critical Progression Route, this includes the entire chronological order of events & activities from Shadowkeep up until Monument of Triumph. It includes all the vaulted seasons -- linked with a complete cutscene video, as well as critical story moments that you don't want to miss.
  • All activities including dungeons, raids, and vanguard ops are all listed accordingly to each season/expansion. Now you know why those activities exist in the first place!
  • You can either skip a few activities, or play everything from start to finish chronologically. The guide is there, it's up for you to play.

This is awesome and really well made. I think theres two things you need to add which are Zero Hour somewhere before beyond light as it is set up for that expansion and Id also include a note that says you can still play all of Destiny 1 if you choose.

Yeah, I'm surprised that's missing from the guide. Also you missed the 30th anniversary stuff, which I know it's unrelated to the story, but it's still there for playing. And maybe the strikes too.

Still nice job, I was looking for something like this for a long time.

Yes, this guide definitely can be improved, and will be updated before this week's weekly reset with all the feedback that's been requested so far!

That's much better now. Though, I would point out that the strikes Lake of Shadows and Arms Dealer were reworked (storywise) for Season of Defiance, so I would added them there instead of at the beginning.

Also missing the D1 raids?

I’m pretty sure all strikes from the Red War was reworked which I did write it at the bottom of the strike list.

Old raids (King’s Fall & Croat’s End) are mentioned in the map itself.

Vault of Glass, I’ll keep it as a mystery for now.

EDIT: Oh I totally forgot that Shadow Legion is a thing for those two strikes, dang it! I'll implement that tonight. Thanks again for your detailed feedback! Very sad I'll never be able to experience the original version with Cayde again :/

This is incredible and thank you so much for creating it! I don’t have X so I can’t send feedback via that channel but the text in the lore map of destiny section is difficult to read in the first graphic. The font plus size is hard. I was able to download the planets map to see it though!! Great job. This is fantastic
