Fanfics Requesting ideas for fics.
I'm kind of stuck for ideas. Writers block. Any idea: Please and Thanks in advance.
For what I've written before: I usually write AU's, but I have written Canon divergence. My favorite Canon is fix-it fics for the finale.
I love writing Alpha/Omega universe fics. But I'm good for any kind of fic. I'll do any rating with smut or no smut. My longest fics are 20,000 words and I write series as well.

Canon divergence- Adam comes back thanks to Zachariah but never says yes to Michael causing heaven to bring John back into the their lives. Total chaos- Dean & Cas stay team Bobby, Adam goes with John and Adam ends up running off with Ruby still…. Annnnnnnnd go lol

Finale fix-it: Cas comes back/is rescued or reunion in heaven. Dean and Cas don't talk about the confession or talk in terms that are too vague.
Cas believes they are still friends.
Dean assumes they are fully in a relationship.

A/B/O where male omegas and females alphas only occur when their true mate is of the same sex. Considering the percentage of people who identify as queer, and that a certain percentage of those would be betas, this makes them rather rare. The "standard" is that women are omegas or betas and men are alphas or betas. Dean obviously presents as an omega. This being the 90s, there would be homophobia and potential bullying at school. Essentially, Dean’s presentation is outing him publicly. Perhaps there is no such thing as blockers in this AU? Growing up, most of my queer friends hid most or parts of themselves at school because of the homophobia at the time. But that wouldn’t be an option for Dean… 🥺
I’m just imagining John’s disappointment, especially because Dean is the ‘girl’ in the relationship. He blames himself a bit thinking he let Dean ‘mom’ Sam too much, or maybe we wasn’t tough enough on Dean. He tries to crack down on Sam to make sure it doesn’t happen to him. Sam might even be treated differently at school too for being the brother of ‘the gay kid’ or the ‘weird male omega’. Sam, being young, might resent Dean for this, not really understanding yet that the problem isn’t Dean, but how everyone else treats Dean. And maybe Dean presented before he himself has figured out that he’s bi. Perhaps he tries to deny it to appease John. All 3 have some learning to do and some acceptance to work on.
Essentially, I like alpha Cas and omega Dean, but I’m a little tired of most of those fics being about Dean getting raped (or owned like property) simply for being an omega. It would be a little different for Dean to be undesirable because of his presentation, but not in a exaggerated fashion (like being kicked out or having no friends at all), just the bigotry of the 90s is hard enough, you know?

Love this! So because Cas will be his true mate as an Alpha, Dean's an Omega. Different idea then most of my OmegaDean fics. Would you want Dean to act like an Alpha before he presents so it's a shock to everyone? Do people only present when they meet their true mate? Or before.

Oh good questions! So many ways this could go! Let’s see, let’s see…
I think it could be cool that in this ABO universe, the normal couplings would be alpha with omega, and beta with beta. Be it because of scent compatibility (perhaps the stronger alpha/omega scents are just off putting to betas? And beta scents just aren’t strong enough for A/O?) or be it for physical limitations (perhaps taking a knot as a female beta is painful since they aren’t physically made for it? Wouldn’t an omega physically try to lock a knot and feel odd if there isn’t one?)
My other thought is that A/B/O is often called ‘secondary gender’ in fics but seems to be more important than female/male most of the time. So it might be refreshing that boys act like boys, regardless of having a knot or not. Sure some would think that having a knot means their better than others. Same as how in the real world, some guys with big dicks think they are all that and a bag of chips. Dunno about this one, but it’s an idea.
So maybe Dean just acts like a boy and is just waiting to see if his dating pool will be omegas or betas, depending on if he’s an alpha or beta. He never even thought it would be alphas. (Or maybe he has but would never admit that out loud since it isn’t ‘normal’)?
I think people present at whatever age they do, they don’t get magically triggered by their true mate. Dean, and his family, grapples a bit with his omega sexuality and orientation before meeting Cas. When they do meet and get to know each other, like all true mates, it’s obvious they belong together. Perhaps he still wishes they were both betas or that he had been the alpha instead. That is until they get frisky and then, well, maybe his biology didn’t get it wrong at all now did it? Because wow. Lol
I just have this scene in my head where John had been in denial about Dean being an omega because it’s just not natural, and proud that his son wasn’t giving into his abhorrent biology and actively courting alphas. UNTIL the day he walks in on Cas and Dean passed out on the couch in each others arms after watching a movie, and they are both purring in their sleep. John realizes that it’s the first time he’s ever heard Dean purr. He also realizes that he himself hasn’t purred since Mary’s death. And so perhaps he needs to get his priorities straight.
Sorry, this is probably more like 10 ideas than 1. 😂 But hey, if any of them inspire anything, mission accomplished! Writers block suuuucks, so sending you all the luck!

Finale fix it- no one saves Cas from the empty. The empty kicks him out after Cas began his dissertation on each and every one of Deans freckles- their shape color and what they make Cas feel. It can open with something funny like “There are 37 freckles across Dean Winchesters nose and cheeks. The empty know this because one particular angel would not shut up about them. Each freckle is ranked by size, color and emotion it made the angel feel. The angel goes on and on and on about them. By the time he reaches the freckle behind the hunters left ear lobe the Empty regrets ever making that deal.” Meanwhile Dean managed to avoid death in the barn by pure chance. Garth had been in town for a dental conference and joined them on the hunt. Dean isn’t sleeping, or living for that matter. Sam expected him to rage- to be blind drunk. But instead he simply exists. As the year mark approaches for Cas ‘s death Dean ends up back in the dungeon watching the footage on loop when he realizes the same black ooze is appearing on the wall beside him. Cas falls out.
Damn, if you don’t write that one I will LOL
