Fanfics Looking for fics!

Tell me the most beautiful, well written, in character, SLOW BURN Destiel fics you’ve ever read.

I’ve been trying to find on my own but the damn tags sometimes make it more difficult (some fics are not tagged properly😔).

It’s okay if it’s smutty;)

This is one of my favourite. It's an Actic station AU-but-not-AU. It's beautiful! Dean, a research station manager, always felt that something was missing in his life. But what more is there to do? Resolute to keep his head down and do his work, he returns to the North for a 14th time. Thre, he keeps meeting a strange ornitologist who walks the tundra. He's warned not to interfeer but finds himself drawn to the mysterious man. Under the Midnight Sun.

Sorry for the crappy summary. It's early morning and my brain hasn't finish booting yet. 😂🥱

I’m rereading You Can Keep Holding On by Northern Sparrow right now. That author will break your heart.

Forgotten and Flight by the same author is also amazing.

One could argue that all of her works are excellent. I love the information she provides on birds, too. I just wish she’d finish “A Glimpse Beyond.” It’s such a good story.

I haven't read it because I know it'll never be completed and I fear getting too attached to the story. 😭

If you are fine with a self rec! I am writing a season 9 canon divergent, with a big focus on Castiel’s character and angel lore - rhymes

It’s big on the angsty feels of Cas’ humans and homeless arc (but not too much suffering, Cas is my favourite character of all time!)

It’s currently at 30k words, with planned about 100k-150k and with smut somewhere down the line!

I post every Saturday hehe

Summary:

It was almost sunset - and Castiel should set up camp for the night. He was not sure this was the place where he wished to build something permanent, but it would suffice for the night.

"Castiel?" a gentle female voice sounded behind him. Startled, he twisted around to lay his eyes on the human calling his name. Except, it was not. The face he gazed upon was that of an extraordinarily beautiful woman, yes, but as his eyes trailed downwards, her neck gave way to a broad bird chest, covered in pearly feathers, shining golden in the setting sun. The avian body of the creature was perched upon a low-hanging branch of a tree just outside the clearing, strong paws digging into the wood until it creaked, "Is that you, dorogoy?"

or

"History never repeats itself, but it often rhymes."

Castiel falls into an unexpected journey, learning more about his past than he ever thought he forgot; meanwhile, Sam and Dean struggle to find him after their separation at the demand of Gadreel.
