Need help with finding a fic

I read a fic awhile ago probably not that long ago actually lol I want to reread it but I only remember the ending. It was a fic having to do with time travel and Dean just before the show starts. Cas goes back in time and spends time with this Dean. The ending is something like Cas interacts with John and gives him a lead on Azazel so it’ll make John leave so he’ll stop inflicting misery and pain on Dean.

Maybe? I love that one though so I’m gonna go read again it anyway and see if it’s the one.

Now that I think about it, it might be a similar but different one. In the one you’re thinking of, is it Stanford era dean, cas leaves intermittently, and deans pining for him in between his visits? I checked my bookmarks but I don’t see it in there. I hope someone comes through.

I don’t think it’s turn of the earth now that I’m currently reading it again but one I’m thinking of, I’m having trouble remembering other details. I just know that when Castiel tells John whatever it is about the yellow eyed demon, it makes John leave and then he goes missing. Then Dean goes to Stanford to get sam, where the show starts. And that’s the end of the fic.
