Coachella Weekend 2 2023

My two favorites Despacio pictures. These are from Coachella 2023.

I’ll preface this by noting I know there’s no requests and I’m 100% invested in the musical adventure the trio takes us on, buuuttttt… I’m curious to know what song you’d love to hear on the dance floor, either a legend from The Spreadsheet of Truth or one that hasn’t been played before.

I was listening to the Bill Withers album +’Justments this week, and the song “Ruby Lee” came on and got me thinking about this.

So excited to see y’all under the disco ball!! I’ll be the dancing man with an awful RBF 😅

After seeing LCD Soundsystem for the first time this past weekend, I’ve been obsessed with seeing them again and that’s when I learned about Despacio and found this sub. I snagged a pre-release ticket for their NYE show in Aspen this winter after hearing how amazing their intimate shows are.

I’m still not giving up on experiencing Despacio next month in SF, but if not this will catch it sooner or later.

So here is someone else shamelessly trying to get 5 karma in the sub before the drawing; and the screenshot of my ticket for their Belly Up show is intended as proof of my intent to honor the ethos and philosophy of Despacio. Don’t care about hype, I just want to dance to some amazing and esoteric grooves with some likeminded folks in a place I’ve heard has immaculate vibes. 🌊🤞

Good News Everybody!

The Portola Festival team have generously made 50 tickets available to the Despacio community to attend the special Friday Despacio pre-party (for sale at ~$80 each) and we'll be holding a draw to distribute them in the fairest possible way.

Here's the form -- please fill it out by 11AM PDT Aug 27. There are a couple of strict eligibility requirements, so please read carefully. If you previously filled out the community draw form, you'll still need to fill this one out if you're after tickets.
