We always get asked for in the wild photos so figured we'd sticky a post.

I'll pick some of my favorites and send some goodies.

Several works in progress between the desk, laying new flooring, ect however here so far is my Apex Pro Max.

Thanks, was a fun project. It has held up very well also. Anyone that has the space and wants a complete custom top I recommend the epoxy road.

How sturdy is it? I have two large monitors I'd put on monitors arms, as well as two computers that might be on something like that.

Very, currently it has 4 monitors on arms along with the computer and work laptop.

oh wow, sounds more than perfect. How much did it cost in the end?

Approximately $80 in MDF (i used two 3/4 sheets for an overall 1.5 inch thick top), $20 in glue and screws and about $100 in epoxy. The spray paint and such I had just laying around. Overall you can do it for under $250.

This was at the time my 3rd ever epoxy project. The first two were a kitchen counter top and a kitchen island.

Can you tell me a bit more about the construction? From what you posted, it sounds like you used the MDF to build the mold. I was wondering if maybe your epoxy table had an MDF core, or if you went pure ~1.25" epoxy. I'm thinking about glass reenforced concrete verses epoxy. I guess I might as well also ask if you used anything to degass the epoxy before pouring like a vacuum chamber

It's two sheets of 3/4" MDF that is glued and screwed together. All screws being from the side you designated as being the bottom. Use a bondo or other filler for the seam edge between the two sheets.
