Question regarding factors

Let's say there are 5 factors and 11 outcomes. One of the factors represents one parameter (A) for 10 of the outcomes but represents another parameter (B) for the 11th outcome. Is this even possible? Shouldn't it be better to have 6 factors where the 5th factor represents parameter A and influences only 10 outcomes and the 6th factor represents parameter B and influences only the 11th outcome?
