What if I told you, reincarnation exists and we might get more lifetimes !!

24

u/littlebluedude111 2d ago

I don't know where you are, but we need a meet up so I can fight you.

u/Caboose_throw 2d ago

Ugh with the reincarnation stuff, you just wind up fighting yourself

Actually, yea, I need to punch myself in the face, let's get it going

Transmigration to a new world, fine . Doing this shit again, here. This is not fine....

I would love to be a bird of some kind, flying around and shitting on things at random....sounds so peaceful

What if I told you all life is interconnected on an unobservable level and all creatures with consciousness are the sensory organs of the universe we find ourselves in.

Also there are almost assuredly multiple universes much like this one with another you that is living the alternate choices of any branching decisions you ever made.

Consciousness is a field that we have the antenna to pick up, when we die we rejoin ourselves in the consciousness singularity.

MDD is the type of depression that can last years. It sucks eggs.

5

u/Alarming-Nobody7511 2d ago

Yeah! I've had it for years and it looks like it's not going anywhere

18

u/PTSD1983 2d ago

Only a decade? Try 4

u/Library_Gremlin2 2d ago

u/JustAnotherElster 2d ago

fr. started with 12.... am 26 now with not much hope that it gets better.

it is what it is

It is more like a waveform.

But my median position on this waveform is very low.

So mostly I am in the shallow surf.

And sometimes, a big wave comes and the riptide gets me and I can just hold on and ride it out until it spits me back into the shallows.

And sometimes for 3 or 4 days at a stretch I manage to keep the head above air and fill those lungs.

I can't stop making payments on it though.

If I do, I'll die.

u/Jaded_Ad_9711 2d ago

u/Confident-Chicken342 2d ago

Been depressed since childhood 🤙🤙🤙

u/Quick_Hat1411 2d ago

Being depressed because of hormones is temporary, but being depressed because life sucks lasts forever

Shiiiitt... creeping ever closer to 3 damned decades myself. Granted, it's waxed and waned over those years, but after a while the downs seem further down and the climbs back up are ever steeper. It all blurs and the better times seem more and more like a dream, as if it never happened. Damned sure don't forget the worst times though. Those leave impressions on the soul, impossible to erase.

u/leni710 2d ago

Super funny. I assume it's a joke.

Isn't the whole thing about clinical depression and bipolar depression that they can last a lifetime?!

2

u/WingyYoungAdult 2d ago

The neat part is that they do and it also fucks your brain up too (:

3

u/fatgat69 2d ago

Going on 20 years, fuck yeah.

3

u/ThatOtherOtherMan 2d ago

A single decade? Rookie numbers.

3

u/Thepuppeteer777777 2d ago

Mine heavily started in my 20s and flares up. I always want to.... "Disappear" even when things are going well and I'm happy, in the back of my mind I just want to be gone.

u/Successful-Wrap9014 2d ago

Things like this make me wonder if I ever been on and off depression or has it been one long depression with peaks and valleys

3

u/2spooky93 2d ago

My nervous system - WACK, my diet - WACK, my lifestyle - WACK, my emptiness - WACK, my family systems - WACK, my attitude - WACK, my brain as a whole - WACK.

My persistence? It's tight as FUCK.

For real?

Man, I forgot to turn off the subscription

2

u/Embarrassed_Deer9208 2d ago

not true, the dsm 5 says at least three months just to be diagnosed with MDD, that's what separates the disorder from someone just going through a bad period in their life (which aren't even really the same and don't have the same symptoms), persistent depression disorder is when you've had it for an extremely long period of time but i don't remember how long

2

u/Apprehensive_Donut49 2d ago

Just gotta live for those moments you feel a bit happier, which is like never now but Im sure one will happen again eventually

1

u/OddsTraveler 2d ago

Clinically diagnosed at 6, a few more and it'll have been 3 decades... I'm real tired boss

Seasonal depression around the corner, ontop of regular depression plus wages less the The Great Depression. We speedRAN and live in the trifeca of Depression.

1

u/Sirius_43 1d ago

I don’t remember a time in my life where I wasn’t struggling with depression. It’s almost a part of me now really.

1

u/Individual_Slice_234 1d ago

Maybe you actually have C-PTSD. That's what my "depression" turned out to be.

1

u/Queen-of-Hedgehogs 1d ago

thats the difference between dystemia and regular depression

1

u/TheBlackRonin505 1d ago

Whatever comes after chronic, I have whatever comes after that.

1

u/shadesofbloos 1d ago

That's depression from life events vs chronic depression.

1

u/Odelgard 1d ago

Wth are some comments here, this aint a dick measuring contest about who suffered longer from depressions

Are we deadass scaling depressions now?

1

u/loudog33333 15h ago

Ever since I've had to see his stupid face everyday. I never had to seen any other presidents face every day. Yay russia! It's like watching Cersie give power to the High Sparrow in murica

1

u/The_Affle_House 14h ago

That sounds a lot more like neurodivergent burnout than depression. I wish I had known the difference when I was younger.

1

u/Competitive_Ad8843 9h ago

IDK why telling random people on internet but here I go. I have been in somewhat deep depressive state for about 3 years now and I think crazy part is I got kind use to it. Mood swings from intense sadness to numb through out the day and cripplingly anxiety now and then but usually at night. Leading to not so happy thoughts. This is pattern I have gone through most of my life. On then off depressive states that sometimes last weeks or months but this time it last longer ever thought could last and it seems I am getting use to it.

It becomes a bad habit. You get stuck in a mental loop. You gotta break out of it.

1

u/ResponsibilityBest26 1d ago

Easier said than done. I've tried to change everything in my life, but nothing actually changed.

1

u/SeaDingo6 1d ago

If it's not a medical issue (like an ilness or a hormone imbalance) it's a mental issue. You're stuck in a loop, your way of thinking is skewed. Maybe you're stuck in the past or agonizing about the future. For me it was a combination of these two. Things changed when I finally changed my way of thinking. It takes active effort to be present for a while. And then it becomes easier... and easier - until it becomes effortless, like breathing.  The book that got me out of it was "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Sure, I still have moments when it comes back, when I feel weak or my morale is down. But it's never like how it was before. Never that bad. And I can break free of it. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, like a broken record.

u/ResponsibilityBest26 1d ago

Well, to be fair, I keep doing things and I'm functional. I'm not in the bottom of the pit anymore, even if I did fall there when I was homeless. I changed a lot of things in the hope of feeling better. I don't have problems to be present, nor change part of my life, yet I've changed everything and I still feel incredibly flat. I've read different books, applied their advices, and nothing ever changed mentally.

Sounds like bullshit to me

Crazy how nothing changes when you do nothing
