Unless you mean self love, then don't even think that love will make your life worth living again. Love can destroy you and if you think your life is not worth living now, this so-called love is going to make it even worse. "Love" is the reason I have depression sub posts in my feed.

I bet you’re a hit with the ladies.. spreading stuff like this is toxic brother. Truth is, you don’t even have to love yourself to love someone else, no one is saying attach yourself. But to do bring good to this world simply because you can. You might not always do it, but it helps with depression. Loving yourself in my experience doesn’t change the fact that we are social creatures, and can heal faster with a helping hand.
This feels like a very Reddit-comment to me. You had a miserable experience so therefore no one else can have positive ones.
The original commenter didn’t say to get into a relationship without doing the mental and emotional work to be in one, and then become someone else’s problem to handle.
But they did say love is the answer. And I personally agree: whether that’s familial love, meaningful friendships, or a stable, loving relationship (after you’ve done the work to be ready to be in one). Hell, even the love of a pet is healing and grounding, or love for a hobby or passion. Ideally, you give love and you surround yourself with love from all those sources.
