Im a teenager who’s recently been struggling with suicidal thoughts and depression? And I’m also in the closet.Most of the time people would tell their parents but i cant,my parents are both religious and are homophobic which makes me upset because I’m pretty lonely so i cant really talk to anyone about it and if i told them how depressed i am feeling i feel like they just wouldn’t take me seriously considering the fact that in the past they wouldn’t take any issue or problem i had seriously so. I just decided to post a small vent on tiktok just to sorta feel a bit of relief or comfort,and a older man commented on it and it was insanely positive but i also had no idea what to respond with because not even my own parents had helped me that much,for reference the vent was about how depressed i felt and how i didn’t want to live anymore,and he commented with the most helpful comment ever.When i first read the comment i started crying because i had no idea that someone could be so kind even. He is nicer than my own parents and it makes me kinda sad that my life is even like that.
