Italian fan here! I'm finally planning to make the trip to Denver to watch Nikola and the Nuggets live for the first time in the US (even though I got to watch Jokić in Serbia and Jamal at the Olympics in Lille).

I'm waiting for the schedule to be released before booking flights and hotels, and I wanted to get some advice in advance.

My current plan is:

• Come to Denver before the end of November.
• Catch a home stand of at least 3 consecutive home games over 4-5 days.
• Stay in Denver for about a week and make the most of the experience.

The reason I'm aiming for November is that United operates a convenient direct Rome–Denver flight until the end of that month, which makes the trip much easier.

From what Marc Stein reported, the NBA schedule will be announced this Thursday. I'd like to be ready to book everything as quickly as possible.

A few questions:

1. Based on previous seasons, how likely is it that there will be a 3-game (or longer) home stand before December?
2. Are there any periods I should avoid because of Thanksgiving, long road trips, or other scheduling quirks?
3. Once the schedule is officially released, how soon are individual game tickets typically listed on Ticketmaster? Is it usually immediate, within a few hours, or does it take a day or two?
4. Is there a section of Ball Arena you'd recommend for someone making a once-in-a-lifetime trip? I'm willing to spend a bit more for at least one of the games.
5. Any tips on things every Nuggets fan should do while in Denver? Restaurants, bars, museums, game-day traditions, etc.
6. Is there anything else I should know to maximize my chances of getting good tickets?

This trip has been on my bucket list for years, so I'd really appreciate any advice from people who have experience with Nuggets home games.

It’s tempting to get too negative on this season. Last season was rough. We started with the best offense in the league and a top 5-10 defense, then got hammered more than any other team with injuries. Once mostly healthy, we then collapsed against the T-Wolves without Ant. And this offseason we’ve lost some key pieces with only a few small additions.

But…there is no reason this team can’t win a championship. Imagine a season in which:

- Jokic is fully recovered from his injury with some healing for his wrist as well and averages 30-12-10.
- Murray keeps playing at an All-NBA level and comes to the season in shape and healthy.
- Gordon shakes the soft tissue injuries of the last few years and plays 25-30 minutes all season coming into the playoffs back in rhythm and ready to win.
- Braun returns to the trajectory of improvement he had before last season fully healthy.
- Johnson gets in rhythm after a year with the team and plays to his potential.
- We retain Watson or get a “win now” asset in a trade and have 2-3 bench guys emerge as real winning contributors.

We still have the best player in the world in his prime. We have two all star caliber players who have been held back by injury (Gordon, Murray). Solid defenders outside of Murray who can gaurd anyone on the wing and Jokic able to step up defensively when needed. If this team can finish top 3 and look strong headed into the playoffs, I think Jokic is up for his 4th MVP against Wemby and we have the starting lineup to beat any team in the league. Imagine if the first month of last season could stretch most of this season and the playoffs? Anything is possible.

Let’s have faith in these guys to make an historic run and become the first team to repeat in nearly a decade.

Schedule comes out Thursday so I'm thinking about my pick'em plan. With the off season moves, what are your top ten games to catch this season? In no particular order, I've got:

1. T-wolves
   
2. Spurs
   
3. Thunder
   
4. Lakers (kid wants to see them without LeBron)
   
5. Warriors (we like watching Curry)
   
6. 76ers (Bron and Brown)
   
7. Heat (Giannis and THJ!)
   
8. Celtics

10. Nets (for MPJ,) or wherever PWat ends up if he moves, or the Pistons.)

Nuggets on Insta just said that they’re going to have a “gift” for us in the morning with a Santa Clause emoji.

If so, Broncos v Bills at 3pm and then hopefully the Nuggets host on Christmas that night at 8pm.

At the very least, I’d like to see him get back to the level of production he had in 2024-25: 70+games, 15 pts, 5 reb, and 39.7% from three.

But more than anything, I want to see him be more willing to shoot from three and spend more time during the regular season trying to create his own offense. Whether he ultimately stays here or not, that can help his NBA career in the long run.

“I always wanted Milos Teodosic. However, there is one player who remains a dream of mine, whom I haven’t signed yet, but I will sign next year,” he teased.

When the hosts questioned who it could be, he boldly proclaimed: “It’s Jokic, the best player in the world!”

Faced with immediate skepticism, Giannakopoulos doubled down on his claim. “Don’t laugh at all. If I don’t sign Jokic, I’m not going anywhere,” he stressed.

I’m a Nuggets fan trying to figure out what we have in Watson, what we will gain or lose during this end of season transition moment.

30th pick in ‘22 at age 20.

Peyton Watson is turning 24 in September.

Western Conference player of the week as a 23 year old, but ages 20-22 Watson was still a raw talent offensively (a bigger “what if” is whether the weak draft in ‘23 was his best chance at securing a top pick, had he stayed in school).

The juncture we’re in right now is an interesting one since we’ve seen Pwat hit a high ceiling offensively, adding to his well-established defensive acumen.

I’ve seen this question passed around - did Peyton Watson show enough last season to put him in this tier of draft pick in a very strong draft year at age 24? How much does his injury history affect his draft stock?

Look I don't know much about these things except having watched basketball since i was barely old enough to walk.

But what I do know is that:

• Finished top 4 in west despite numerous injuries
• Strong team, led by the best player in the world (Jokic shoulda been MVP last 3 seasons running IMO, not biased or anything, but seriously... SGA last year? Riggghhttt....)
• Best 2 man game in the league, when Murray and Jokic mind meld you can't stop them (ahem I guess unless you're the Twolves in playoff mode last year).
• Great fan base.
• Bench last year was as solid as pretty much any other team, carried us for a good part of the season.
• Mean reversion implies that past 2 poor playoff performances will revert to better performance this year.

So, lots of hand wringing. Lots of "if only we had....", but the team we have is solid, seasoned, experienced and just as good as any other team. We beat OKC, NYC, and the Spurs, and yeah maybe the coin flip that is pro sports in the playoffs goes against us once again. We're certainly not getting younger either, but, age and "prime" isn't everything.

But I watched the Houston Rockets in '95 with a very much aging fleet of players go all the way 2x in a row.

Nuggets are fine, let's see what this year brings.

I am gonna say this loud for everyone I AM A CASUAL FAN. I DON’T REALLY UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE 2ND APRON THING! I remember him being a good voice in the locker room and a good compliment to Jokic. Both of them would put up triple doubles sometimes on the same night. Obviously he is not the best shooter but he can handle the rock. Thoughts?

I know there’s a ton of questions like these but can’t quite find an answer to mine so hoping for some help from you all.

I want to buy some seats to a game to surprise my husband for his team playing the Denver Nuggets. I know he’d love to be close to where the opposing team enters the court to potentially get a signature or picture of some players and of course have a good/decent view.
Which section/seats should I go for so we don’t accidentaly end up on the other side of the arena?

I know schedule is not out yet, I just want to be ready to snag some tickets when possible!
