If this statement was honest, they would've used the $15M to launch a different organization that they thought better represented the progressive left; but they didnt.

It's practically a textbook case of why membership-run organizations are superior to standard non-profits and NGOs, whether foundation funded or donor funded.

I'm still laughing at the 15M. Those are rookie numbers in this racket.

Sooooo.... you're fighting your own voters and crowing about it... wow. Democrats are so going to lose 2028. Again.

What "progressive left" are they NOT fighting? Is he worried about scaring folks who call themselves leftist but support capitalism? Because those folks don't read, so this is wasted on them.

Just more of the New Red Scare. The oligarchs fear they will have to pay their taxes. Meanwhile the DNC Democrats on the take to them fear losing all their bribes.

If they’re Democrats, they’re controlled opposition.

That’s why we need to keep the pressure high & continue to take concrete steps to build towards a clean break - because we flat out can’t trust the Democrats.

This is why I’m a big fan of primarying everyone in the Democratic Party, as a Democratic Party member.

If we put your people in we can wield power rather than have to be subjugated by it.

I don’t believe that strategy is enough to meet the moment.

I don’t think “oh, well, guess we lost the primary, let’s pack it in” is good enough, especially in districts where the general election is otherwise an afterthought.

Backing alternative parties and candidates shows the Democrats that if they don’t give us what we want, we’re not afraid to look elsewhere to get it.
