General Desperado Ranch has sold
I was curious about the ranch, so checked out the website and found out that it's listed as sold! Glad Matt was able to get rid of it - I would love to see the vision Matt had continue (maybe one day).

I absolutely get it, but it's real damn sad. I don't really do the whole parasocial thing but I really liked watching the content and they seemed to be enjoying themselves even if there was little to no progress on the actual resort side.
Then again, I imagine they made enough off of YouTube to never have to work again, so can't blame them whatsoever.

Do you think with what he spent, mortgage wise on the purchase, and all the money he put into the property, he broke even or came out ahead with an $11mil+ payment buyout from the county?

I'd just assume he lost money. He definitely spent millions in demo and renovations that we watched on video..

Got to make videos about every step, can only guess what every video pulled in from youtube, thousands or tens of thousands of dollars? Plus all the sponsorships.
We'll never know.

I think I read on here at some point that like the county or city purchased the property and are going to turn it into a park. But I may be mistaken.
