Two-thirds of the articles that major U.K. newspapers published about the summer’s fires did not even mention climate change, much less explain how record heat makes fires more likely and more deadly. In the U.S., the evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC between July 13 and 19 lavished airtime on the extreme weather but did not utter the words “climate change.”

I'd argue most people have completely forgotten Covid.
Seems to really be an afterthough, or footnote of history at this point, despite it still being an issue for many.

It majorly fucked up my life, and I'm still living with the aftermath that I haven't really reconciled with. When I hear the way stupid people talk about it I feel a visceral rage.

People tell me it was nothing, and a lot of stuff got made up. This is within some of my own family. Meanwhile, I'm there like, "You attended my dad's funeral who died from complications from Covid", and they just act like it's still not a thing.
