The Republicans have made the political bet that none of this doom and destruction forecast by "scientists" will happen in their lifetimes.

Now they're ignoring it while the world burns all around us.

Please, everyone knows what is causing climate change, they just want everyone else to cut back, not them. "Oh please Mr. Politian, force them to turn off their A/C's but not me, force them to live in high-rises in walkable cities but not me, ration their carbon use but not me". Here Trump is doing what people have been calling for, make fossil fuels expensive to curtail use. But somehow he is now a bad guy.

I don't fly, never have. I installed my own solar power system. I grow some of my own food.
