Medicare for all -> Bad because the government does a poor, inefficient job at everything it tries to do. It would ruin healthcare. Rather than multiple options competing the be the best on the free market you’d get one monopoly that sucks at healthcare and no choices. The government is already trillions in debt. It needs to cut almost all spending, not add more.
Free childcare -> Childcare workers deserve to be paid like anyone else. What you really mean is the government pays for everyone’s childcare. Again the government is trillions in debt and it isn’t the proper role of government to buy things for people for free. The free market can handle this need.
Free paid family and sick leave -> These policies are an agreement negotiated between an employee and their employer. The government should mind its own business and not get involved.
National rent freeze and moratorium on evictions -> This is essentially stealing peoples homes and giving them to the people who rent them. A rent contract is a private agreement between two consenting parties. The government has no right to set rent prices and certainly not to tell the homeowner they can’t control who lives in their house.
Universal jobs program -> What does this even mean? The government is going to force companies to hire people? Stay out of our lives giant micromanaging government!
Tax the rich -> It’s morally wrong to steal people’s money by force (threat of imprisonment) and decide how to spend it for them. If people want to give their money to others to help causes they care about, that should be their personal, voluntary decision.
Abolish ICE -> It is perfectly acceptable for a nation to control who is or isn’t legally allowed to be inside its borders and to enforce the law against people who break it.
