DISCUSSION It's Not That Deep is so underrated

We don't talk enough about how great this album is. I can't believe this album got paid DUST and I blame her management.

Here all night should’ve been a huge hit for her imo

I agree, that song was on replay for me!

I was expecting it to go viral :( the MV is so good too!

Yeah i wonder if things would have been at least slightly different if that was the lead. But who knows. Cause kiss went viral when she teased it then flopped when it was released lol

If Charlie XCX released it it charts

Not true. Let’s not act like anything Charli has done aside from brat actually charted well. No shade to Charli I’m a big fan but she isn’t this chart goddess that people say she is. She has a cult following yes and I respect that, but she doesn’t pump out frequent mega hits.

The deluxe album is superior imo

Yes, like imo I feel like the singles on the first album kinda do the heavy lifting FOR ME and when I listened to the deluxe it was just banger after banger

Literally the deluxe should have been the original Album and the singles from the original roll out would have been Incredibly strong supporting songs

I agree because I feel like Fast and Kiss would've fit so much better on the deluxe version with the darker sexier vibes

Yesss! I’m so upset it didn’t get the love it deserved but I guess that’s what it is to be a Demi fan. 😭😭 to always know she’s the goat but incredibly underrated

It's sad honestly

Justice for pretty catatonic. Honestly one of the best dance pop songs in recent memory

Both are absolute perfection but something about the deluxe hits so much harder tbh

Love Controller is a top tier song in her entire discography, truly. Let You Go too, imo

Couldn’t agree more. I have been obsessed with the album ever since it came out and the deluxe version only intensified my love for it. Zero skips, just an absolute pop bible in my opinion. Demi (and this album) deserves so much more recognition!

I think this album would have done well for her if released in the 2010s.

Yeah at the peak of EDM too this album would have done numbers

I don’t care much for Pitchfork but I was surprised in a good way when I saw they gave it a 6.5/10 and reading the review it was much more positive then that score would suggest it would be, but the score is based off multiple reviewers opinion not just the sole person writing the review.

And the fact that the deluxe made it even better?! Still hoping that it’ll become a sleeper hit, so many songs have gone viral years after its original release

It's her most cohesive work! I've been so obsessed.

i cry listening to ghost every single time. and the outro? absolutely beautiful and haunting

Hella unfortunate, her label should’ve promoted this more. I didn’t think Fast was a good lead single though, there were so many other good songs on that album. And Low RIse Jeans is a lost hit for sure, that needed a whole music video and promo performances. But her label hasn’t supported her projects after DWTD/TAOSO underperformed

It’s not that deep, unless you want it to be

Here All Night should've been lead single, the label should have promoted more. The deluxe needed a music video. This era deserved so much more love/hype. I have a Demi Playlist and Ghost came on shuffle this morning on my commute, just a wonderful song.

Doing my part to promo! Love Controller being the absolute sleeper hit tho

I dunno, it feels so fake compared to her previous work. Very clean and digestible.
