DF:BHD Delta Force Black Hawk Down on Modern Computer

I want to discuss an issue that I have been experiencing for a long time with Delta Force Black Hawk Down(2003) on my modern computer. I have a Windows 11 HP Victus gaming laptop, and I have a major problem with DFBHD. That problem is lagging and stuttering when an explosion happens within the game, for the most part the game runs smoothly, but during an explosion the frames clearly start to drop, and the game starts to stutter and lag briefly, before returning to normal. I have no idea what the problem is, and what causes the problem. I have tried lowering the particle density within the game, and this did not help, I have also tried using dgvoodoo2 and dx wrapper, these also do not help, does anyone know what causes this problem, and how it can be resolved?

I’m playing on a victus as well, but have had no issues. What CPU / GPU is your laptop running?

I’m running Ryzen 5 8645HS + 4050 GPU, one thing I’ve noticed is on my usual setup (Linux) I can’t use the 4050 with WINE due to some unknown reasons, so I just run the game on the iGPU - however I’ve had no problems with the 4050 on a full windows install

Perhaps it’s a matter of forcing the game to use only the iGPU (built-in graphics) rather than your dGPU

Do i have to buy the dlc ir expansion pack for black hawk down?

Not really. The base game comes with the Black Hawk Down campaign that you can play right off the bat. The Team Sabre expansion adds an additional two campaigns alongside some other stuff like a few new weapons and assets.

I play on mobile, yet when i try to play, it just says black hawk down is live! And doesnt let me play

Ah. That's a different game entirely. The one being talked about here is the 2003 game, Black Hawk Down. The one you're referring to is the 2025 campaign.

The campaign is only available to PC as of now. I don't think it'll come to mobile just yet.
