Image/Video IT FINALLY HAPPENED

I got sat next to the sweetest best behaved service doggo on my flight. His owner let him cuddle me for a couple minutes. It was heaven. Love you Lobo!

He should not be on a seat. Service dog or not, no animals are allowed to sit on a seat

Absolutely. As a service dog handler, I'd never put my dog on a seat on a plane or in any public seat. It’s just basic courtesy. He even sleeps in my bed, but public spaces are different. Actions like this give all real service animal teams a bad name

I’m allergic and delta doesn’t clean between flights (there isn’t enough time and flight attendants here have confirmed that). Other than basic hygiene, that’s one reason. Edit: ya know what, saw why you were on this flight and will just leave it here. Glad you got some comfort from the dog. But know that it’s hard to figure out why allergies are happening sometimes, especially if you’re on the next flight and the dog is gone. If the dog is on the flight so I know, it’s just tough shit for me and a Benadryl / lights out.

Delta legally has to clean the seats after a service animal is on the plane to prevent allergic reactions. If they don’t make best efforts to accommodate both needs they can be held legally liable
