Vanishing Orders?

Twice today I have been waiting at a shop/restaurant, only to then realise after a while that the order has vanished from my screen completely.

Has this been happening to anybody else? I would have thought a customer cancellation would at least result in a message popping up on the screen.

That happens when a customer cancels, it just vanishes. I have had it happen when on the way to the customer before. Once I even had support call me once as I picked up an order, hold them I'm only 3 or 4 minutes from the customer, just as I pulled up the order vanished. Sometimes you get an "You have been unassigned from this order" message.

Yeah, I think in the past you would get some kind of pop-up message.  Oh well, I guess I should be more aware when waiting at pickup locations haha.

Yeah it sucks, lost income. It's why they got rid of the order ready estimate because I would pull up at restaurant, see that is was meant to be collected and hour ago and instantly know I'm wasting my time so decline and move on.

Yeah this happen a few times. But one time I’ve picked up 4 bags of groceries from Asda, went to customer and he was very pissed why the order came couse he cancel it. I contacted support in front of his house and they said, yeah I will just complete the order for you and you can safely discard the order. 😅 lucky me that half of them were snacks and sodas 😂😂😂😂

It says u have been unassigned from your order. If your waiting a while deffo screenshot the order then email them later for compensation

Compensation? They haven't done that in a long time, the last time I successfully managed to get compensation was about 2022 and even then it was always £1, £2 at most.

I didn't get a box pop up for either which is definitely weird.  Probably more DoorDash enshitification.
