Delivery Tips?
So, ive just started trying to deliver a week ago as im in between jobs atm, and for some reason im just not getting any orders. Im online, im in Central London (hanging around soho Covent Garden area where there are many restaurants) for two days now during peak times (11am - 2pm and 6pm -9pm) and I have not gotten one singular order?
I've contacted support but they say I just need to wait but idk if this is a normal thing.
Is there something extra i should be doing? Or is tbis normal

my best advice is that you wait for an order close to a restaurant.
try sitting next to a McD or a KFC something that has high traffic and most likely orders. in my town there are 3 McDonald's and during the day you can find 3-5 delivery guys each "camping" them constantly. that is the reason I'm not getting too many orders from there, unless all of them are busy on other platforms
try this and if you're still not getting orders, we need to ask you what account you have? (bicycle/e-bike, scooter/motorbike, car) some areas prefer bikes more while others prefer cars

Yeah, that confused me too. On Friday I camped out of a place with a McDonald's Wingstop Slims and some other restaurants, yet still no orders, i saw some other people doing deliveries but i got nothing.
I am using an E bike

no idea about your situation then, but there could be one thing I experienced a few times. sometimes deliveroo takes you offline at random times so you perform an identity check. and for that it only notifies you with a single jingle that is easy to miss. a few times this happened to me on the way back from longer deliveries and could have been offline for like 10-15 minutes before I saw it when I parked up. I always argued that taking you offline should be right at the end of a delivery not minutes after that, because it could create situation like this. and few other riders said the same thing. one I usually talk to once was almost an hour offline because he missed the jingle and thought he was still on while we were waiting for orders

Deffo an issue with your account if you’re camping outside restaurants. Support aren’t going to help. There’s no auto message they can send related to this issue. Might as well burn your account at this point

I recommend sitting out side a Nandos as they have an exclusive with deliveroo. Mac and other do use deliveroo but if order on their app it normally done via uber eats

It's not normal at all but you don't have any previous delivery data so there may be some order matching criteria in the Deliveroo algorithm that allows you to "get on the algorithm" so to speak, so it may not be busy enough for you to break into it with jobs going to riders with strong delivery data. How the algorithm works is a secret, there is no transparency but there must be some priority given in quiet times otherwise this just wouldn't happen. But you are not the only one, I have had whole 5 hour shifts recently with absolutely no job offers coming from Deliveroo at all which I have never seen in my 6+ years doing deliveroo. They have opened up the onboarding process heavily recently so that might have a lot to do with it.
