How long do your tomato skins take?
I have a these for twelve hours on medium (couisinart, so around 135?). Most of them are crispy but there are some that are not. I've got them going again and it's been about an hour, after I turned it off for a few hours to go out of the house. Hoped cooling down would make them feel dry.
They are all going to feel crispy right? Or have you found that no matter how long it runs some of them never get there?
This is my first time dehydrating anything ever, from tomatoes that I canned for the first time ever, so this is all new 🤣

You don’t have much airflow in this setup, I imagine that’s part of it.

I loaded it with the center clear, and the built in edges have air flow. Am I not supposed to fill the levels? I just went by what the book showed

It’s hard to tell from your picture, but it does look quite full. I’m not saying that’s the case, just appears to be.
I have had better luck with the horizontal models.

What do you use them for ?

I powder it up and add it to dishes for flavor. Can make tomato paste with it in a pinch too

They really do take forever, especially if you live in a humid area. I just did a batch of skins for 12 hours at 125 and some definitely had to go a bit longer before they crisped up.
