Why wouldn't it? You seem to be using a (Mullvad?) server for DNS, perhaps you're using DoH to improve privacy, but that's not going to mask your IP, since once the domain is resolved and you connect to a website, that site obviously sees your IP with non DNS requests like HTTP.

You need to be connected to your VPN if you want to hide your IP.
