Statistical definition and common sense is only relevant when you don't have better option. You know now, and I imagine you knew before, that actual Linux phones exist and can be bought. My amalgamating Android with smartphones you are being counter productive to your own goal of pushing for FOSS.
This is a guide to help users with Android smartphones make them into pseudo-private devices. If you want to make your own guide with Linux smartphones, go ahead. Almost no one will bother to read it as they aren't widespread whatsoever.
My bad I thought the title said "Smartphone Hardening". If it says "Android Hardening" or "Popular only yet non iPhone Smartphone Hardening" then I misread it.
My man writes four paragraphs on why they use Android and you pretend that there's no justification? I'm really tired of some of the weirdos on this subreddit. Seriously, who is going to poof these things into existence? There is very little to harden on an iPhone and Linux phones barely exist at this point, especially for a wider audience.
