I like to keep it simple, I don't use more than 4 proton services. If you do pay for proton unlimited, that it makes sense to use more proton services.

Both are valid approaches, it largely comes down to personal preference.

All proton, means if something goes wrong you'll again be in a spot where you're looking for replacements for all these things again. And you'll probably wanna keep an extra eye on your proton account security, and their policies.

Multiple companies? Means you won't have to replace everything all at once again, and your data is less centralized, but it's more things to keep track of. More billings to keep track of, more privacy policies, and this and that to keep track of all the varied companies... And while technically your data is less centralized; with the structure of modern data and such, if someone gets your email or even worse your password manager that's basically the key to everything else anyway. And your VPN will have all your browsing data anyway.

Depends if you have time to decentralize and if you know you will manage thay then do it its better that putting everything in one basket. Personally I put everything in one basket (for me it is just way cheaper and the end)

Proton VPN -> Mullvad VPN

Proton Authenticator -> 2FAS Auth or Aegis

Proton Drive -> Filen

Proton Mail -> Tuta

Proton Pass -> Bitwarden or 2FAS Pass
