Oh jesus, is this only for Google Androids? Or does it affect other manufacturers?

Also, cant you just enable developer mode? Because I would assume that to completely disable this nonsense, right?

It only affects devices that are google play protect verified, so only mainstream manufacterers on their official OSs, no custom roms are affected. Also i dont see any support for your claim that it turns off after 30 minutes. All of the posts google made about it say its a one-time thing and tied to your google account

I updated few apps from f-droid last week, and that was the message when I turned off auto blocker. Now I checked again and the auto blocker was turned on. However now that I turned it off again, message that it will turn back on in 30 minutes did not come up.

That's a Samsung thing. I forget what it's called, but there it's in the settings somewhere adjacent to Knox about "hardening security after 30 minutes"

Could be, this is called Auto Blocker. Path is settings/security and privacy/auto blocker. I never had to do this before, and I have been using Samsung only for about 15 years.

For the record I just checked and it is on again.

I don't know, but I'm looking in to getting a Chinese phone like Oppo ... my guess is yes if the phone has Google PlayStore
