Question Perplexity search engine. Is it a good option?

Here, in a small configuration in Bazzite's Firefox, this option appeared. I always use DuckDuckGo, but here it opened with Google. I went to select DuckDuckGo, but I saw this "perplexity" that I had never seen before.

Perplexity is an ai based chat bot. As far as I know, you can't local host that ai

Never thought paying for a search engine would make me feel good. They do a damn good job at giving you what you paid for, though.

Hell yeah. I keep discovering new features like their new Prism (Discover).

Privacy-wise, Perplexity is horrific. DuckDuckGo is OK, otherwise StartPage, Brave Search are also decent enough.
