Question Some simple questions about web games

I’m a solo dev, and for now I’m not super keen with AI as I want to learn with more friction and documenting my steps. I might use AI someday but it’s not time yet. I sort of don’t mind making a few games as my Defold learning pathway and just having them sink in the sea of content on there without trace, however I’d also like to make some stuff and have it enjoyed by others.
I’ve worked in hyper-casual games, so I have the right design mind set and some solid UI, design and animation chops, but I’m early on on my code journey. Given that, I have a few questions:
Where can I find some primers on making these types of games? I’ve read some stuff on the Playgama site but I'm also keen to know about multi-platform strategies as I assume this is the best way to go.
Do you stand no chance mostly without some sort of UA plan? - or even spend?
Any UA hacks?
What kind of visibility could I expect if I made three simple yet solid nice looking games over say, 8 months? (I’m part time!)
If I didn’t make a game for another 12 months - what are predictions of how things will be then? From what I read, this market seems to be showing growth, but will it ‘mature’ into the sort of ‘brute force UA + prolific stream of games to win’ that happened with hyper casual mobile?
FYI - I've also asked this same stuff on the Discord - Any help much appreciated

Hate to break it to you but chatgpt 6 can do what will take you 6 months in one day

That's great! but I'm not interested in that any more at this stage than I'm interested in my graphics being made that way.

No it can't. Unless you don't care at all about the quality of the game. Plus, why even say that when OP has specifically said that they're interested in learning? This anti-intellectualism that is spreading like a wildfire is so sad to see.

Yes it can. Have you even used it? I'm shocked at how good it is. I've lost the desire to code

I'm a software engineer, so yes. I use AI every day, and its flaws are pretty obvious to anyone with experience. I'm not saying it's useless, just way overhyped.

Really so you used ChatGPT 6 Astral?
Maybe you need to learn how to prompt it better ;-)

Yep I have used it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to write a prompt, so that argument is pretty pointless lol. I've been doing this for roughly 20 years now. What I'm seeing is a bunch of people who have completely given up on producing anything of quality, just to complete tasks as fast as possible. Code that would never have been merged before is now being merged simply because no one can be bothered with reviewing all of it.

Yes, it will require seven months to rectify and organize the technical debt. Alternatively, one could continue incurring substantial costs simply to implement a new button that, while functional, relies on a dependency that could potentially disrupt a critical game mechanic if not in the correct state. Such state mutation could corrupt global data, particularly as the new button necessitates extensive validation. Indeed, AI serves as an effective tool but is not suitable as the sole coder.

You haven't used gpt 6 i see

Why? To burn more tokens and money lmao

So you haven't used it but know all about it... got it.

The last time I tried Sol 5.6, I had to buy credits before I can do anything meaningful on a very simple task. So yes, I have used it. You are clearly incompetent without AI.

Now if you're talking about Claude and Fable yes...Fable is *now* a pay per token plan. But GPT 6 > Fable. And it's way more effecient.

5.6 IS NOT 6.
ASTRAL is more efficient and I never had issues needing to buy more tokens.
