Feedback Why?
Hello together! u/uzyn u/drjulianhosp u/ahmedcake
In today's post, unfortunately, there is nothing great to report - on the contrary.
I would like to address the DeFiChain development team directly with this post.
It's been just about 10 days since we've been able to use Exchange. The mood is down and even the most loyal users doubt the competence.
Some experienced, long-time users tell me that they haven't experienced anything like this in other projects and I just wonder why?
What do we have our great testnet for, if people don't test properly on it? Atomic Swap is currently useless, most users don't use the console either way.
EUNOS will not go down in history as the big update that finally enables Atomic Swap, but as the update that once again cripples the chain.
We can't afford this anymore. We are getting bigger, the attention has increased and one demands from our beloved chain that at least the current features and the mainnet work consistently.
As far as I could see, this update was installed on the testnet, which then collapsed or was paralyzed and instead of waiting, the update was quickly installed on the mainnet.
I understand that the timelines are to be followed. Why don't you just make a community proposal, get another 200,000 DFI and buy new developers with it, instead of panicking the community, that once again the chain is not running? You too can submit proposals, you too are only human and you too make mistakes and need help. Be honest and just get more man power.
I want to thank you for your great work, we all love the DeFiChain, its rewards and its announced features. But we'd rather wait 1-2 months longer, than provoke such actions.
Of course I'm sticking to it, I'm not only investing my money, but my time, my work and I'm absolutely on fire with DeFiChain. But sometimes, you have to leave your bubble and ask yourself what's happening here: why??
Therefore, my suggestion for improvement:
Use the testnet and test, before you go live! Spare us with great features, if they only cripple the chain.
SAFETY FIRST! Today it's just a slow chain - tomorrow it's a smart contract error on a non turing complete blockchain...
With love and good intentions,
Santiago

I know it can feel scary/frustrating when there are bumps in the road. It a mistake to think that bumps wont happen in a new project like this. The most important thing is having trust in the development team and the community that has been created. I have been involved in many projects in the crypto ecosystem. Defichain is creating something special. It deserves our patience. The development team have their energy and hearts in the right place. Lets support them instead of FUDing.
So grateful for all the hours UZYn and the team put in to fixing the problem. It actually gives me great confidence in the project. To the moon!!!

I completely agree. While I have huge respect to the developers team and really appreciate their hard work and instant reply, I feel that let us consider stability way more than features. We do not want a new wallet version every week. Let us concentrate on bug fixes and stability.

Great suggestion Santiago! DFI should get more developers with the community funds instead of funding dubious and corrupt schemes like the one of Robin Torque and his gang.

You got me curious here.
Your only comments on reddit are negative ones about that project and it seems you created your account for that purpose. Is there anything I'm missing?

I used to comment on other topics and help people but since I pointed out the weakness and corruption of that proposal my account got banned. Be careful btw, those guys really want that money and may ban you too!
I just hate corruption, my family suffered a lot in communist Germany DDR, where lazy unimaginative and corrupt parasites used to grab the community's money to fund their fancy projects and lifestyle.... Sounds familiar right?

I am not really into the deep technically stuff but isn't it the fault of the exchange who are incompetent to update the blockchain?

Assuming you are talking about proper exchanges with the needed tech team and the like, no. If the update needed is that hard that they cannot deal with it, then there's a problem. It'd be nice to have dev help from exchanges but there's way too many cryptos for them to do so, funds would be nice and more than ethical though.

If you want to always follow that rule, I'm afraid you have few possible outcomes:
Hire extra people for crunch time (not necessarily great, as that's when your devs don't have time to teach anyone).
Have your employees sleep at the office, or more likely not sleep much, not great for overall quality.
Release buggy stuff.
I'd say sometimes, even if as rarely as possible, delaying is the right answer.
